Rick Baltman President and CTO
Rick Baltman has served as the President of 2XL Games since 2005 during which time the company developed its first PS3 and Xbox 360 title from the ground, up. Prior to co founding 2XL Games, Rick served as a Lead Programmer at Rainbow Studios where he programmed the core game play technology for all of its games. Previously, he co founded and managed two other business that developed the Maya Real-Time Game Engine for Alias|Wavefront and ReelMotion, a vehicle simulation tool used by Hollywood special effects companies to animate cars, aircraft and spacecraft in many movies and TV commercials. Prior to his work in the entertainment industry, Rick worked as an Attitude Control Systems engineer on a wide variety of aerospace projects including satellites and unmanned aircraft. Rick received a M.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University and a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto.
Robb Rinard Chief Creative Officer
Robb Rinard co-founded 2XL Games with Mr. Baltman in 2005. Mr. Rinard has been working in the game industry for the last 15 years as the game designer and creative director on many hit games including Motocross Madness, ATV Offroad Fury, MX Unleashed, Baja: Edge of Control and many others. Combined, Robb’s games have sold over 20 million copies world wide.
Robert Johnson CEO
Robert has established a track record in building successful software companies both domestically and internationally with over 20 years of proven experience. This includes founding, developing and leading talented teams and companies to high growth, profitability and successful exit events. The last two software companies Robert led as CEO were acquired by publically traded companies. Robert has known Jeff Padden, 2xlgames Chairman for many years and followed the 2xlgames story since their inception. After Robert sold his last software company he jumped at the opportunity to work with Rick and Robb. Currently Robert splits his time between the 2xlgames Phoenix and Asia operations. Robert has also been an avid gamer since he acquired his first Commodore 16 in the early 80s.
Jeff Padden Chairman
Jeff C. Padden has been a practicing lawyer since 1982. His law firm Allen, Price, Padden & Sanders, P.C. combined with a large Phoenix law firm in 2005 and he is currently a shareholder at Mariscal, Weeks, McIntyre & Friedlander, P.A. He practices in corporate law, specializing in emerging growth businesses, venture capital transactions, international transactions and video game companies. Mr. Padden has spoken at legal and business conferences on a variety of legal and business topics. Mr. Padden has been an investor in and a Board member or Advisory Board Member of a variety of companies doing business in the United States and Asia. He has spent over fifteen years doing business and/or representing clients in Asia, with a focus in China and Korea. He was a shareholder, attorney and Vice Chairman of Rainbow Studios and has represented numerous video game companies. He is a member of the American Bar Association Business Law, Entertainment, and International Law sections. Mr. Padden holds a B.S. from the University of Virginia (with Distinction, Phi Kappa Phi) and a J.D. from the University of Texas Law School (with Honors, Order of the Coif).
Travis Riffle Executive Producer
Travis Riffle started his career in the Avionics field working on flight software. Being a passionate motocross rider and fan, as well as a huge gamer, he approached Robb Rinard about creating a true motocross video game which eventually turned out to be Motocross Madness. He finally joined the gaming industry full time in 2002 at Rainbow Studios and worked on such titles as ATV Offroad Fury 2, MX Unleashed, MX vs ATV series (Unleashed, Untamed, Reflex), Cars and many others. After leaving Rainbow Studios in 2010, he was reunited with Robb Rinard and Rick Baltman at 2XL Games.
